Today we are heading to Xefina Island.
It’s just 25 minutes away from dryland
And even though it’s not as big as Mozambique island,
It’s as beautiful and it got me smiling,
If You’ve been to the Fishermen Market, then you’ve probably seen it from afar.
The only inconvenience is that you can never get there by a car
As I read, back in the 19th century, the island was used by the Portuguese
To punish political prisoners who didn’t make it easy
Form them, to keep implementing colonialism
200 years later, we fight through activism
Regardless, the island itself is gorgeous and peaceful.
The few existing locals are friendly though
But this is place to meet with your soul
